The Triad Mirrored

Ok so I'm having a real issue with Chapter 4 mirrored Episode 4 (The Triad). I can see how the puzzle needs to be solved but I'm stuck at the part where both characters need to grab the keys at the same time. No matter what I do the one guy (the grey one) always reaches the key sooner than the white guy. I have watched the Youtube video by ChistopherOdd but no matter what I do nothing works. I'm soo close to the end and it's really frustrating. I've tried looking up other methods but no luck. Any thoughts?
