Does the soundtrack work outside of Steam?

Okay, so the soundtrack is available for download on Steam, but they say you need the game Wavelength to use it. What I was wondering is if this means that buying the soundtrack on Steam means you can't use the files outside of Steam. That would ruin the whole point of buying the soundtrack, as I can just listen to it in game, but if the files are available for general use with MP3 players and the like then I'd rather get it on sale here than pay full price on Bandcamp. If anyone's bought the soundtrack on Steam and can tell me how it works, I'd appreciate it. Thank you!

Hi, for steam is the soundtrack as a DLC.

So you must have bought the game, but the soundtracks are saved in the program folder of the game (Steam\SteamApps\common\Waveform) as .mp3 files. So you can simply copy the files on your mp3 player.
