Apparently everyone who has it on mac is having an error with MP3 for months. Rockstar has yet to patch it

Been waiting for it to install all day and when it does I get this damn message, god damn. Out of the 40+ games on my wishlist I decided to purchase this one *sigh*

Same here, tried all "standard" emergency tricks, nothing worked.

ditto here... frustrating, especially waiting for hours for the download. Now running it through bootcamp til rockstar pull their finger out!

Same issue... And couldn't find any way to fix this! Do you think there is any chance to get a refund?

Problem seems to be known since ever OSX Mavericks dev version is in use. Several threads since this summer (June/July) exist in the Steam forums. Apparently, it might be a "bug" within the Cider port, not even OSX devs were able to solve the problem - and no official person seems to take care. Meh.

Just checked, the same applies to Rockstar discussion/support forums. No reaction whatsoever from Rockstar so far. Many unhappy customers on the other hand. Not the best situation for gaming on Mac.

I wonder if it's so difficult for them to admit a mistake and leave a message somewhere in Steam that the game isn't working on Mavericks?
Sent a message to their support team yesterday, let's see what they say.

Same exact problem for me. Just bought it and wish that I would have seen these comments first. Looks like everyone with a Mac and Mavericks is out of luck until there is a patch. The question is, will there ever be a patch?

Now Max Payne 3 is on sale on Steam to snag even more Mac gamers that won't be able to use their purchase. Anger.
