To be honest, Im not sure the game supports Windows 8;Your best bet would be to call Rockstar Support

I had problems with the BSOD on Windows 7 with this game and also got stuck on the loading screen sometimes. Going offline in Steam before launching this game seems to help...

Tig, the funny thing is, when I got the retail version of the game, I had Windows XP, It wouldnt work; Now that I'm using 7, it works like a charm, even though the requirements said it would run on XP, no problem
