I've had this game for ages and it used to run fine. Now I'm getting the failed to conect error. I tried the fix that's doing the rounds on here but had no joy with that. Has anyone heard from any official sources on when a fix will be availiable?

Hey brother, i can feel your pain, some guys from steam community tried to contact steam support and Steam responce was: "We're working on it", well, I can't tell more. They're workin on it...

Looks like it's a case of wait and it will be fixed. Oh well looks like i'll have to play something else in the meantime. At least Tomb Raider Multiplayer still works lol :)

Actually, you can buy Max Payne somewhere else (including DLS's) i did about a year ago, didn't expect so much trouble though, with steam...

Did you recently buy the season pass? Seems like thats the cause of the issue, since there aren't any cd keys left for it until rockstar gives valve more.

No i bought a new copy for a different pc. That one never worked with the can't get key issue. So i thought i would jump on my own pc and play it on there. Only to find out the copy i bought over a year ago now no longer works either. I bought the season pass with it over a year ago too. Seems like it must be a server related issue.
