Game freezes
The game freezes every few seconds during gameplay and cutscene. I have no clue what is wrong. Everything is up to date (video card driver, patches, etc). I don't think it's my graphic card because it runs quite fluid and then suddenly it freeezes a few seconds, and gets back to normal...it happens randomly, it doens't seem to have a pattern. I kinda regret paying for this game.

Anyone has any clue?

My spec: nVidia 660, 8gb ram, i5 4440

I got the exact same problem. Note that i'm running on a high end MacBook Pro i7, 16Gb ram, 500Gb ssd, Nvidia graphics 2Gb of memory. Contacting rockstar support went on nothing.. Already give up this game.

Yeah, I filed a ticket but Rockstar doesn't seem to give a damn.

I went on a long talk with rockstar support. The "probably" solution is to reinstall the game by downloading it again. Not a solution for me. I already verify the cache of the game and its all good. Furthermore i only can play on offline mode because of that crap of SOCIAL CLUB. Sorry my english

Disable MSAA competely.I had this problem on my gtx 970 too with MSAA on.For some reason if you have FXAA+MSAA enabled together you get this issue. With that off i didn't have stutter at all.

Huh.Pretty weird. You definitely don't need to lower settings on that specs for this game(for other games in general except new ones),except MSAA like i said cause it's unstable.Few things i have in mind:
1)Turn off Windows Media Player(some people say that it causes microstutter)
2)Force Adaptive or normal VSync in NVidia control panel but disable in game

I tried your #2 solution. It seems the frequency of the stuttering has reduced but still happens sometimes.I dont know where to turn off WMP. I have looked at Task Manager. Maybe it's never turned on. Anyway, it somehow solved my problem to some degree.Thanks.

Control Panel -> Programs->Turn Windows features on or off(below Program an features) ->Then wait a little and you'll see Media Features.Click on that and turn off Windows Media Player and Center if you want.I personally turned off everthing since i don't use these programs. It's gonna ask you to restart after you press ok and afeter that it's gonna be off till you turn it on if you decide. So if you don't use WMP,it can't hurt to try turning it off.I am not sure that it's gonna help but i heard it did to some people(for some games). If this doesn't help comment so i can suggest other ideas that i have.

1) Turn off all other processes you don't need
2) Did you update your drivers to latest?
3) Try running game in different compatibility mods
4) Try adding -dx9 to launch option(propertis->launch option->add this)

I tried to run with dx9. The stuttering seems to be reduced but still happening. I also have my latest driver.

Are you playing on max settings now? How often is that stutter? Is it minor or big fps drops? You should maybe try this :http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2730732

I tried to run the game with 1 cpu core as Kratos suggested and it solved my problem. Maybe you can try that too.
