How do I stop the game selecting targets for me
Its really quite horrible in a gun battle to have targets selected for me and not allowing me to choose. Can I turn this feature off somehow?
Playing on a PC with keyboard and mouse, going thru the single player story.
I have disabled the only options I can find regarding targetting but it still does not give me freedom to act in a fight.
Also is there a way to disable the bullet cam cos it really distracts from the action in a fight to go zooming about like that.

Have you tried starting a new game in story mode with free aim? It may be worth a try if you can't disable auto aim from the in game menu.

Btw great screen name, brings back memories of Fallout 2. ;)

The only option when starting a new game is to use hard mode - does that disable soft-lock?

Ok, silly me, shoulda read more instructs. Last man standing is what is halting my target selection in big gun fights, but I have started again on hard anyway.

As far as I figured it out is that while being in last man standing you're only able to succesfully target the 'one' enemy that took you down !!

Well, I thing this is the case because the aim dot is only turning red while hover over one particular enemy.. ?!

Yep, that's exactly what's happening. The game doesn't select targets for you. Basically if you have spare pills and you receive a fatal wound, then the only way you can stay alive is by shooting the person who fired the fatal shot. So the cursor gravitates in their direction. If it didn't do that, you would have no idea who to shoot in many scenes where it happens ("oh which one of these twenty guys fired the bullet?") and you would die.
