Why do people not finish the game?
If you check the global achievement stats, it says only 27% summoned one sylph and 7% finished the game. That's unbelievable, did everyone get bored after 20 minutes or what?

I have beat the game several times, without cheating, and it is fun. I love the soundtrack and retro visuals.

Unfortunately, this is the kind of 'experience' (it would require too much bravery to call this a game and put it in the same level as everything else that is called game nowadays) that people are not ready to feel yet, not in this gaming market. I do understand why a lot of people give up after 20 minutes. The experience, which I finished in case you're wondering, is certainly unique, and most of the time uniqueness tends to bore people most than it appeals them.

The music and environment are very interesting, I only have 2 of the Achievments though. I got it on sale, just like many other things during the holiday season, and am still getting through other content on other games. I'm not hating on the game at all, I've just personally been busy with other games.

started this thing, I can't really call it a game, played (don't think my use of played implied it was any fun) 2 minutes, uninstalled and came here to see if most everyone else felt the same. Seems they do.

Not "Everyone" feels that way. It's a concept, meant to be a story that is interactive. Just becaues it's different, does not make it bad. You expected "Blah blah platformer adventure same ♥♥♥♥ different name" game play. I found it intriguing, and expected it to be different, because I read the store page.

It is because of the Humble Bundles. This was in it twice so many people got the game who do not really appreciate it (me included).

can't kill the stupid gold triangle personally.... once you run out of mushrooms, you're totally screwed.

I didn't use any mushrooms in the entire game (Only once to see how it works), you can heal yourself by holding the shield during a battle (You'll see a circle closing on you, when it's near to your shield you obtain 1 star).

EDIT: I just finished the game, I have to use a guide because I was really lost, I didn't play the game in month (because I switched to W8 and forget about installing this game) and I didn't know what to do, the NPC's are very strange and they talk weird and that doesn't help me at all to know where continue the journey,

Bored out of my mind by the end of the first part, one of the fastest things i've uninstalled in a long time

I was done with the game 20 minutes after my first shot as well, and when I came back to it I was totally lost so I peeked at a guide to figure out what the deal is with the game anyway, started from scratch, and nailed the whole thing. I think the most discouraging thing the first time around was hearing somewhere that you had to wait until a full moon in real life to solve one of the puzzles - there was no mention of the moon grotto. Other distraction: I got the game in a humble bundle, the other games were easier to ease into than this one. This doesn't feel so much like a game as it does an artsy, hipster, stoner experience, which is great but you really have to know what you're in for.

It's an adventure game with slow walking and no instant travel. I spent a lot more time fruitlessly walking around exploring than solving puzzles. It reminds me of Loom. I beat this game but wouldn't recommend it.

Good atmosphere and well staged. If you like retro graphics, you will enjoy the different scenes. The soundtrack is great. I got 45% complete and I will definitely finish this game but I will not do a second walkthrough. Nice and beautiful game - which you can just like or hate ;)

The game asks the player to take a break after the first session.
I believe not many people find any interest in picking it up again afterwards.

Got it with the humblebunde, had to check it out, though I am bored out of my mind just holding down my left mouse button and watching these slow ass pixels walk forever.
I thought it was a long, boring trip up that mountain.. When I had to go all the way down again, it lost me. ZZzzzzzz

And it's not like I don't like games like this. I like a lot of weird concept indie games, but this is just plain boring. Zero entertainment value in my opinion. That's why. And now I'm uninstalling it.

You already said that in a different post... strange...

I did, and I'll do it again. I checked out the community page on this game and found a lot of people asking why some people didn't finish it. A reason is a reason. I could've typed it all again, but my main reason still stands, so why try to rephrase the exact same message when I could just copy it?

I was kind of hoping someone would jump on me and tell me it gets a lot better later, but not one has had anything constructive to say - neither did you.
