Twitter problems

I too have problems with twitter. Connection failed even with my firewall is off. I tried both my username and email. Maybe it has to do with twitter's application confirmation..?

I just wanted to mention that you need to have your computer's time and date set correctly for the Twitter add-on to work (Twitter blocks any connections that are off by 5+ minutes from their server time). Also, there seem to be rolling connection issues in certain regions. You should try to log in periodically to see if it starts working again.

I'm on win7 x64 and have the same problem, i can login on firefox and chrome even from the web browser of steam but in-game it says Connection failed

I'll test that. But do you know how to see Twitters server-time?

I tried https://api.twitter.com/1/help/test.json i'm off of only a few seconds with the server but it's not working..

Can you be more specific? It's just not working for me.

I tried the above steps, and it does not work for me either. It seems to be a big part of the game experience, so I'm a bit disheartened...
