Works on my Intel netbook, not on my AMD/Nvidia desktop
Which I'm surprised at, it's normally the other way round. I did want to be able to play this game in bed on the netbook and have steam transfer the saved game files between them so I can play parts of it on the big screen, but no.

All that happens is a black screen comes up, and I can move the cursor around. Think it's the same cursor, not a changed one. No sound. I try alt tabbing out of itand it looks like it will let me (selection comes up) but it won't, I have to drop to tty1 and kill it. Any ideas folks?

lspci output (specs) are here.

Tried verifying files, tried running in safemode, tried even rebooting everything. Nada. Kind of a bummer.

Have you tried any of the solutions mentioned in the README? It actually mentions some issues. Also, you could send your log.txt file to info at capybaragames dot com.

What readme?
--------------------------------------------------------

nail@Administrator:~$ cd .steam/steam/SteamApps/common/Superbrothers\ Sword\ \&\ Sworcery\ EP/
nail@Administrator:~/.steam/steam/SteamApps/common/Superbrothers Sword & Sworcery EP$ ls
bin eula.txt lgpl-3.0.txt lib res run.sh soundtrack
nail@Administrator:~/.steam/steam/SteamApps/common/Superbrothers Sword & Sworcery EP$ ls */*.txt
ls: cannot access */*.txt: No such file or directory

-------------------------------------------------------------

I see no README, neither do I see a log.txt. Only text file I could find was the eula.

Oh, and the ;gpl file of course, doh.

Still, that command for showing txt files in lower directories should have shown something if it was there. I tried a few others further down too.
