The most plausible reason why people are giving up on this great game and not even giving it a try
Is due to the tutorial.

Seriously, if you were to make this ported out as a PC game, use the terms where average PC gamers can understand.

Instructing people to 'Tab' intead of 'Click' makes everything so confusing. I bet most of the people who saw the message pressed 'Tab' key first, instead of clicking. I mean, this game is essentially a simple extention of a typical 'point and click' adventure game. Moving the player character could be a simple click, instead this game employs double click. And then it tells the players to 'Tip tab' instead of 'Double click' to make things even worse. Arrgh..

It's just boring. Has nothing to do with the controls.

Taken from another post I just did:
"The game asks the player to take a break after the first session.
I believe not many people find any interest in picking it up again afterwards.

Got it with the humblebunde, had to check it out, though I am bored out of my mind just holding down my left mouse button and watching these slow ♥♥♥ pixels walk forever.
I thought it was a long, boring trip up that mountain.. When I had to go all the way down again, it lost me. ZZzzzzzz

And it's not like I don't like games like this. I like a lot of weird concept indie games, but this is just plain boring. Zero entertainment value in my opinion. That's why. And now I'm uninstalling it."

As another person said, this is just some hipster, stoner, retro puzzle/adventure game..
Not a lot of people's cup of tea. Certainly not mine.

People still use the word "hipster?" How very hipster of them.

I tried really hard to like it but I don't have Twitter or Facebook and the game seemed to make a big deal out of that. Couple that with adventure-game gameplay... I support this kind of game with my money because I want more games like this to be made, but it's not my kind of game.

Pretty "hipster" of you to dictate what defines cool in the English language.
It's a port from iOS, and they didn't change the control scheme to something more intuitive...
