This Game Needs More Love.
It's sad that this game has but 42 contributions. It's a great humble little game. Anyone pull a 1CC yet?

Sadly, most discussions for Satazius were carried in the old Steam forums. Someone posted a 1cc in the hardest mode there as well. Maybe we can bring 'em all here to post a bit! I've been replaying the game myself a bit recently and enjoyed it even more than before. Astro Port really knows their deal when it comes to crafting a game that's fun no matter the looks and the difficulty. (Game is tough as nails but I never felt it offensively hard. The sprite work is neat as well!)

I find a bit on the easy side until you do crank up the difficulty. I guess I desensitize myself to shooters because of how much Cave stuff I own and how often I play Gradius V on Very Hard.

Yup, it was meant to be a balanced thing in terms of difficulty. In a recent interview that ASTROPORT did with a magazine they commented the "ideal" difficulty setting for them, the one they thought the most is the hardest setting.

Looking forward to see the 1ccs! Don't forget to add them to the game hub so they are visible here too.

I wish this game had a few more stages, but other than that I'm content. Best horizontal shooter since Gradius Gaiden.

I'm debating whether to move onto Hard or experiment with weapons on Normal. I like using a different setup on every stage.

I've played the trial, and I don't like it. Too complex for me.
Personally, I'm waiting on SaiDaiOuJou and even then I'm a little sick of CAVE.

You don't think DoDonPachi is as complex as Akai Katana? I always found it stricter and way more unforgiving.

Okay so yes, at least in DoDonPachi I understand the scoring system: consistently shoot enemies. Strict, but at least I know what to expect.
Akai Katana is a lot like CAVE-era Yagawa games: What's going on :o
