What about ditching GFWL and using %100 Steamworks?
As the title says removing GFWL and making this game %100 Steamworks maybe better for this game. Also it will boost the sales and player counts, Microsoft did this for Age of Empires II and can make it for Flight too. Nobody loves GFWL and I think Microsoft too understood this and not supporting it anymore. Thanks.

They would have to redo the game.

Microsoft abandoned Flight a while ago, they already stated no new development would occur for the title.

They did the same with Age of Empires Online too and both that and Flight are fairly recent games too.

We're all better off just not spending money on any PC games published by Microsoft because they obviously aren't looking to support their games long term.

They disbanded the studio that developed Flight, so to get a version with GFWL patched out is improbable. The multiplayer aspect (flying with friends) and achievements would need to be reprogrammed.

People have been begging for Force feedback support for the Sidewinder 2 joystick and they ignored us. So I don't see why they would put in any additional effort into this.

However don't played much time these with Flight, but I like to ask similar question. Anyway, the game can be done to SteamWorks check Gotham City: Impostors. Of course Flight has been abadoned since... well, after a half year? It's a miracle the game still runs.

In "abandoning" they could have released the code and license, but that wouldn't be Microsoft.
