Very good game and story, though the ending is lacking.

There will be a second game so the ending fits for that,

A second game? That'd be great. The ending really was kinda bittersweet and left me unsure and asking myself some questions.

It's called "Das schwarze Auge: Memoria" (I guess the translation is "Dark Eye")
Release was stated as Q3/2013 and it won't require Steam / disc version will be DRM-free.

I'm looking foreward to the new game - the ending really was a downer.

I just reached the north town after evading from the sawmill.
I must admit that, despite his qualities (nice artwork and voice acting), i am quite feeling i am not playing an adventure game but a sequel of puzzles. Each scene leads to another "what object to trigger that thing", i never can breathe exploring or talking to folks.

I know point & click adventure games lead to riddles and puzzles, but i take less pleasure in this one than in Edna or the Critter's or many other ones. Permanenrt looking for clues, some stressing scenes chaining each other (like when it takes 2 hours to find the proper things to do while your brain fatigues because you feel like having checked all logical ways to unlock someting but still fail and start to click each item on the others then on all the interactable props), wipe out all the poetry and magic that should come from this story.

Plus, Gerond really looks like Romain Duris, a french actor i can't stand...that does not help :p
