Win 8.1 game can not be played

Hi,

i have win 8.1 and the game starts fine. The resolution is 1920*1080. The game is not full screen, however, the aspect ratio is ok. (the game takes cca 90% of the display). After the daedalic intro animation, i see the title screen with the options New game and Main menu. I can move the mouse, but the pointer is so sensitive, that it just jumps to either of the borders of the game window. I am unable to reach the Menu nor the New game option. I tried to change the config file in steam directory, but it does not help in any way. Ideas?

I'm experiencing very similar issue. Mine is under WIndows 10 and in Full Screen mode only. Once I set it to windowed seems to work fine.
