Yes, got an update here too. Not sure what it was for. Was the controller support there before? I never really noticed (played it with keyboard and mouse before anyways). Yeah, that's one thing about Steam and Updates, often they don't include anything on the News pages about most updates for games.

Controler suport was always in the game. also, not sure what the update did.

This is one of Steam's problems. Patch notes need to go on news pages.

In at least one case it became apparent that the dev actually had posted the info, it just had not been put up yet on Steam. Probably only one very overworked person has to do all the updating for game patch infos, thus the lag.

If anyone does find out what was updated please post it here. Thanks.

Really? People needed to download an 83mb update just for a new credit video? I feel bad for the people on slow or God forbid capped connections.

True, the only file that has been updated so I Just played through act 4 again, but there was same black screen at the end (or parallel vapour trails in the sky). However with BIK Player you can play the credits video file.

Thanks Jawaka, That describes me. That download is still going on as I type.

If you capped, slow or limited connections or internet-service, you could try disabling automatic-updates for games in your Library;
right-click on a game in your Library, properties, Updates tab, select to Do not automatically update this game.
(though unfortunately that doesn't always work with Steam).

Thread title is a question I have asked myself innumerable times after loading Steam.

Hope patch descriptions become more available in the near future, as well as a download speed throttle. One of those features I was using in file share programs 12 years ago.

And download lists, letting you download files in the order you want, e.g. download several videos, ONE at a TIME. A feature to let you download all videos for a game you are interested in, instead of pointless excessive clicking. Finally fix the ETA of downloads, for my slow connect it has been wrong for more than 5 years now. And yes, I even posted that request back then already.

Seems Steam is totally under-manned, regarding the most trivial (for Steam programmers) and basic of features.

I tweeted Dan Pinchbeck and he confirmed it was just a credit for some middleware that they'd forgotten to include.

That was undramatic.
