Could thechineseroom make a similar game as some sort of sequel?
The level design and the story is beautiful, and I'd like to see more like this from the developers. Do you think there could be some sort of sequel to this game set in another place, with a completely different story and person? I know that they're working on Amnesia 2 right now, yes.

They are also working on this[thechineseroom.co.uk] and as the description says: "We see it as the natural follow-on to Dear Esther." But yet it's said that it'll be open world.

Sounds very interesting! :D On the time of an apocalypse.. could be .. very awesome and pretty unique! Instead of the violence part, they focus on the mentality of characters. Something very different, that will stand out!

The bad bit about it beimg durimg the end of the world is (this is what I heard anyway) that after 60 minutes the world ends and so does your playthrough. You can always start a new one but it took longer than that for me to get through the first chapter of Dear Esther (I took a lot of time to look around)

I see your point gavvatar. Even tho it took me less than an hour to finish Dear Esther, that sounds kinda irritating if the other game is going to be open world and possibly bigger. I hope it's just a rumor for now.
