Any other games like Dear Esther?
Does anyone know any decent games in the same(ish) style as this one?

I think it will be hard to find similar games, Dear Esther is pretty unique. You may want to check the Void (Tension in some countries) and the Path. Both these games have very intriguing atmosphere, gameplay and visuals.

Proteus maybe but havent played it myself. Dream and Cradle as well, but those are Greenlight games that are still in development. First-person adventures like Anna or the Myst series are relatively close to it too. "The Witness" by Jonathan Blow seems to be going in a similar direction. Penumbra and Amnesia are more horror adventure/survival but first-person too with some great ambiance.

And they are working a spiritual successor, "Everybody Has Gone to Rapture" (and they are helping developing a new Amnesia game subtitled "A Machine for Pigs").

The Stanley Parable
Longest Journey (Adventure-type game, but the story is freaking amazing)

....i'm having trouble thinking of others. It really is pretty unique.

Everyone Has Gone to the Rapture, but it's still in development. :P

There's a game called "Anna" that is reminiscent of Dear Esther. It believe it is on sale at the moment.

Similar, as in a minimalistic story-driven adventure that plays out differently every time? Someone said The Stanley Parable, which is a good recommendation. Like BumbleBadger said, "Anna" is another such game, though obviously unique in it's own right. Still a must-have at that price.

If you have a PS3, you might try Journey

I really didn't like Anna, I can't put my finger on why tho.

Miasmata is less about story like Esther and more about survival.

Honestly the game that comes close to Dear Esther in terms of story is To the Moon, worth a look if you enjoy these kind of games.

I saw a game on Greenlight called "The Light" that appears to be similar to Dear Esther, but it's bare-bones in terms of development. Still, could be cool to check out.

Try Myst. I know, it's an old game, but it's got the same sort of thing going for it, only with actual gameplay.
