Waste of money.
In all honesty that really wasn't a game but more of an interactive "book"

So what? Games are not just about shooting people, they can also tell a great story. But yeah, Dear Esther is more like a "journey" than a game.

at 10 dollars I expect more than a 2 hour game of walking around listening to a jumbled story. It's great visually, but content wise it's severely lacking.

I loved it. It was like a virtual poem.

A poem with zero replayability.

Different strokes for different folks. No sense in arguing about it :) Just make sure you get all of the product info before you buy.

Did everyone miss the part where this was already a mod? And it was released for free.

the mod wasn't too impressive TBH.

So why did you buy the updated version for a price you don't think is reasonable?
MaddaCheeb Feb 25, 2013 @ 7:44pm
Because it looked good and I thought it would perhaps expand upon the mod. At the time it seemd good.

I finished today and i dont find any ways to describe this great game even for 2 hours this game is so intense and the story, WOW it is same like LIMBO, BRAID or Journey for ps3 i love this kind of game because its not the same seen 10000x time in other games. So this is your opinion, for me it was a pleasure to play this peace of art.

And?

People spent $15 on Journey, and it's essentially the same thing as Dear Esther, but Journey was highly received and praised by everyone. Why all the Butthurt with Dear Esther?

No. Journey and Dear Esther are not "essentially the same thing". Did you even play Journey?

Have you played Journey? It's nothing near Dear Esther.
