Alternate ending

I tried to turn on the alternate ending and see no difference. Am I missing something? is it visual or just spoken audio change? I can do the other mods and work fine.

I'm not joking. That came from The Chinese Room and everything they posted on there worked for me except for the alternative ending.

I'm pretty sure it only enables alternative ending monologues (randomly selected), because it's a game variable that is naturally enabled through completing the game (it was toggled to "1", even though I haven't messed with the console at all).

I've played it enough times since then that I'm pretty sure there's no significant alternte ending of any sort.

As Vic said it allows different ending monolougues, I just had played through it earlier today and saw this so I played it again with the alternate ending. Most of what felt different was the tone. It gave more deatails on the crash (might just have been the monologue that I got this time through), and as it ended the monologue made it sound like he had not forgiven paul and was still tormented by the crash, not as it previously had with him just moving on to be with Esther.

Ah....learned a lot. Thanks so much. That explains it!! ;-) Love the game. My favorite out of 300+! Nice. ;-)

Instead of the hospital bed at the street underwater, there were two crashed cars (same scene, still underwater) in my second playthrough. Also, the given variable is set to "1" for me (I did not manually change it). And yes, I didn't know many of the monologues.
