Don't buy this, not even on sale. REVIEW
*These are all my personal opinions based on a full playthrough of this game, I'm not trying to just hate on this game for the sake of hating on it, but giving my solid opinion based on 18+ years of gaming*

I get that this is an "artistic" project, and I definitely need to give credit to the people who made it for making what they wanted, however, this "game" just isn't worth "playing".

1. This isn't really a game, it's more of an artistic story. It should have just been a video on youtube.

2. The pace is EXTREMELY slow, you have to walk at a snails pace, and you come to a lot of dead ends and have to walk back. You can change the speed you run with the console, but still...

3. The story goes nowhere really. Well... it does... but it's just not that great anyway.

4. All you do in this "game" is hold down W, and hold Q at one point in the playthrough.

5. I'll admit that I'm not an "art guy" but the whole presentation just seemed pretentious, especially the ending which is just a blank screen with ocean noises. I felt like saying "Oh wow... that's soooooo artistic" *sarcasm*

6. The whole time you "play" this you're thinking "oh god when will this just end"

Really, this "game" would have worked better as a youtube video or possibly a short film. I don't see why this got good reviews, I understand that it's original and something new, but that doesn't mean it's good. I personally didn't like the "story" but I could see that and perhaps the graphics in the cave area as its only positive factors.

All in all, this isn't really even worth the 1.00 - 1.50 that it goes for on sale and DEFINITELY not the $9.99 on Steam. You might be tempted to buy it, but really, just don't. I'm not hating on it just because I'm a "COD kid" or whatever you want to say, but just because it isn't a good "game".

tl;dr: This game isn't worth the cost of $1.50 or the cost of the hour or so you'll spend "playing" this "game"

I think that is pretty much the only true statement in the entire post.

i have a feeling, you didnt understand the story, or even try too take a guess at what it meant. and you said you explore places that lead you to dead ends, but what is actually happening is more of the story unfolds when you go to these places.

No, I understood it perfectly fine, it just wasn't worth playing or paying money for.

It's more like 22 years. I just threw 18 years up there and realized that was way off when I posted it.

If you want to sound like you have intelligent criticism of art, try not to use "artistic" as the kind of adjective you're using it as. Everything is artistic.

I've spent 52 hours on it. I love the graphics, sound, music, and atmosphere. I enjoy hanging by the ocean. I use it as a get away place to relax sometimes. I've gamed for 29 years. So what? Nobody cares. LOL! People play what they enjoy. Some hate things others don't. That's why we were made to be individuals and have a brain to make our own decisions.

That's why I said this is just my opinion. If you didn't care you wouldn't have replied.

I love this game. I bought it and the soundtrack for $15. I love it. The artistic feel is amazing, the art direction and visuals are fantastic. Level 3 and 4 are my favorite levels (Caves and Aerial), the nighttime level last one, makes me sad because of the music and the overall feel.

I love the writing style of the game as well, I have put forth 10 hours of gameplay into this title, so far, I replay it all the time. I love the story, art, audio, the whole thing. I burned the soundtrack to a CD and play it at home all the time, during cooking, writing, reading, meditating, w/e. I love everything about this game!

Obviously you have No idea what art is. This game is a masterpiece. Go back to COD.

Well said.

I enjoyed the story and atmosphere but I would have hoped for some more replayability as this is sold as a "game". It wouldn't have taken much, just some alternate scenes or achivements to warrant a couple of plays considering it's such a short story anyway. I'm glad I only paid £1.50 for it as it would have been even more of a disappointment when the game was over so quickly if I had paid anymore than that.

I don't play COD. Also, could you give a more hipster answer? Like I said, I understood the game and understood the art. I just didn't like it. Not liking something doesn't mean you don't "get it".
