Expensive game? 79.99£
Is it actually worth 79.99£ (Euro) ?
Even if it is, or isnt, are anyone aware of a site which sells it for less? (With the DLC's).
Ain't spending 80 euro on a game.

I'm getting it in dollars my self but from what i can tell it worth the price, though i just say wait for when a deal comes by.(from what i can tell it goes sale around 6 times a year not counting summer and winter sales) as long as it's a deal of 33% off or more you can get the old gods and the CK2 collection for 65ish$ or less depending on if it 50% or 75%... and 25% it be more...just wish list it you will get an email when it goes on sale

huh? 80 euro? wow. Swear I brought the base game for 5$ for 4 friends on sale not too long ago this year. Wait for a sale- and for those not aware, the base game includes all the DLC updates and bug fixes, your just missing out on some new content: playing as a muslim ruler, pagan ruler, merchant family, that sort of thing.

So yeah put it on your wishlist and wait for sale, or if you can't wait, just get right into the base game and wait for the next sale period to get some DLC.

Base game is just Crusader Kings II correct? Which still costs 39.99£.
For now, I've put it on my wishlist.

CK2 is probably one of the most frequently on-sale games that I've noticed. It will almost certainly be on sale again at christmas and likely to be on sale again at some point before then, too, I reckon. Hopefully you won't have to wait long :)

Wait for it to be on sale, and then ONLY buy the ones you want. (i.e. if you don't like aztecs invading your homeland, don't buy sunset invasion, etc.)

It's a great game, I think I bought the game without any DLC at full price... Paradox games seem to go on sale alot.

The post is a little ♥♥♥ backwards though. First you ask us if its a valdi price at $80. Then proceed to preemptively disregard any advice by saying you wont pay 80 pounds.

So truly, why ask?

its worth it, but also some things arent nescessary and i would think hard what you want, personally i'd say old gods is essential

You can buy the base off of Amazon for $10 U.S dollars. (last I checked anyway) it automatically put it on steam for me. Then pick up the DLS's next sale.

Thanks for all the responses.

Wondering if any DLC adds alot of content and should be bought aswell?

Sigh. Theres 1000 threads on this.

ToG - adds 199 years, pagans as playable.
LoR - adds some cool Byzantine Empire internal play, but also adds retinues. Retinues are the only big game changer out there IMO. Required DLC.
Sword of Islam - only if you plan on playing muslim rulers
Republic - i like this one. Cool spin

In the short version of this, each DLC lets you play a different style. So play through 20-40 hours of vanilla, THEN download additions.

Might be a thousand threads, but I fancy your answer more.

Also, Sunset Invasion adds another horde invasion that gets Aztecs on Atlantic coasts of Europe.
Hotly debated as it's the first true Paradox shot at alternate history, but surely helps balance out a bit by the fact that playing in the Far East has you bearing the brunt of three strong hordes (Seljuk, Mongols and Timurids) while the Far (European) West has none.
