Hellenistic Reformation
is my game just bugged? I have managed to retake all holy sites for the Hellenistic Pagan faith however I cannot reform it, in fact there isnt even a button to reform it on my religion pannel at the top left side can anyone tell me if they have experienced this problem or if the have actually managed to reform the Hellenistic religion?

Its not a bug, the Hellenistic religion is not a fully supported religion in game. It is there to provide a background for dead people and is has no one practicing the religion who is alive..

In order to get the religion in the first place you have to select it via custom ruler.

it is because the faith is already organized and reforming wouldn't make any sense

What? not fully supported? That religion dominated Roman Empire and not supported wtf? tahts a vote down for this game!

The religion had been dead for 400 years (give or take a century) by the time CK2 starts at even its new 867 date. So yeah, its not supported. I'm sure someone could mod it in though.

It was a worldwide religion and many battles happened between them and christians it would give more intrigue and interest

If the game was set 400 or 500 years earlier it would. But that's not the case. CK2 lets you do plenty of ahistorical things, but that religion was long dead before the middle ages. It would be a cool mod though, I love spreading things like culture and religion in addition to your dynasty/kingdom.

ahh right I see well I just thought seen as there has been a lot of work done on Northern European and slavic cultures and pagan religions that people from the mediterranean would want a religion and culture unique to them but seen as paradox is based in sweden they might of went with the old 'stick to what you know best' route seen as they might not have had enough knowledge or back ground on the religion to flesh it out enough, however I know people say its been dead for 400 or so years but if you have the option to resurrect the Roman Empire shouldnt you have the option to resurrect its old religions I think it would play better like this: You have just reformed the Roman Empire then a New quest pops up 'you now have a momentous choice at hand, do you follow the ways of the great Emperors of old and follow in the foot steps of Julian the Apostate by clinging to the old ways or become the Constantine of your era and spread christainity to all parts of your Empire' then if you choose the 'old ways of the apostate ' option the Hellenistic religion goes under its reformation and your character gains 'the apostate' title as part of their name. I think this would sort out the problem as well as giving players extra incentive and more depth into the choices involved in reforming such an old Empire for either religious reasons or for your own personal greatness, anyway just a thought.

I agree. I like that train of thought.
