Adbicating The Throne
I think that in a future patch there should be an abicate the throne command. I mean willingly not forcefully. Think about lets say your ruler becomes incapable. He/She is totaly usless for the 2-3 years that they live. During that time if you were at your demise limit. Your vassels get upset becasue your diplomacy takes a hit as well as everything else. Also if your really old and your heir has excellent traits there should be a succession that doesn't require death. Anyone else agree?

Totally agree. But there should be some traits that disqualify you from abdicating like Proud, Ambitious, Possessed and Lunatic.

Yeah, that would be a great mechanic. They definitely should include that in a patch or DLC.

well, there is the suicide option if you're depressed... interesting idea. In the meantime, you could always use the kill console command.

Where's the suicide option? I remember thinking there was one, but I haven't actually found it. Is it among the plots?

It'd have to involve a signifigant prestege hit though.

if your character has the depressed trait, then suicide is an intrigue option. Usually towards the bottom.

Ah, that would make sense. Could come in handy, I suppose, although abdicate would be a preferable option.
