I am afraid I cannot help with console commands and things of that nature though.

Alternatively, since she apparently wants more of a "screw history, equality for all" kind of game, become Cathar, then presumably attempt to replace the standard Catholic faith.

Go to your steam folder /steamapps /common /Crusader Kings 2 /decisions succession_laws.txt
Scroll to the bottom and look for "potential =
always = no # For modders only". Simply change the no to yes.
You can then change the sucession laws normally with the game. Still need the in-game prerequisites of ruling for 10 years, being at peace etc.
Probably not reccomended if you're playing a Muslim or Patrician as I don't think they have martilinial marriges enabled.
