When your army is exessive in it's archer supply, you become vulnerable to charges even from infantry. It can happen far earlier in the battle than otherwise, and results in very fast melee phase, which archers are very weak in.
Enemy army had about 1k archers, 250 LC, and then the rest were a mix of HI and LI. (im positive about the enemy army size being only 2k). I should also point out, that the enemy morale was barely even scratched, until it moved into the later phases of battle.
I find that unlikely. I just holy warred the rest of (now feudal) Ireland, and they had a lot of heavy infantry and i came out of all the battles with barely a dent to my levies.
