Breaking Bad Mod
Would it make sense? Tthe whole "Empire Building" that Walt mentions got me thinking about it, and it could really work out. The succession, the territory, different advisors could be the cook, distributor, enforcer, lawyer, etc. I think it would be interesting. Any thoughts?

I saw this topic while shift-tabbing In-game, and lol'ed so hard that I had to stop what I was doing IN GAME to point out what a laughable mod idea this was.

Edit: I lost the Crimea in my MP game while I was typiing this. I hope you're happy.

....because it was worth it to me.

♥♥♥♥ no.

I really hated the series by the way. And I also don't see how the hell could you get a grand strategy out of it.

No. Plus Breaking Bad is way overrated.

I might try it. I think the counties could be "territory" to sell drugs on and ♥♥♥♥.

Only if I get Bill Burr as one of my vassals. Culture: Bostonian.

Bill Burr is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hillarious. But I really think it could work. It'd take a lot of time to make though

Also, unsurprisingly, drugs. Lots and lots of drugs.

I know I'm thread necroing, but I just had to stop at the thread title and read it, this is the third most absurd thing I've read all day, and this is the INTERNET!

Is it really that absurd?
a) yes
b) the series was really good. and much more important, it's finished. Pushing the topic into absurdity wouldn't do any good. The setting shouldn't be the place for weird sandbox fantasies. I am really glad the show is over just so they won't overdo it.

Pretty absurd, yeah.
Not the idea about a drug lord game in and of itself or even using CK2 as a framework for one (which isn't exactly the first association that comes to mind, but does make a certain kind of sense, oddly enough, hardcore feudalism does map fairly well to hollywood-style gang wars). But Breaking Bad in particular, that's where the idea breaks down, because a lot of the flavour that makes the show good just doesn't translate into CK2's fairly distanced, clinical view - not even the character of Walter (who loves to pretend that he's distanced, clinical and logical) can be mapped all that well.

Hearts of Iron 3 has zombie mod, so why not? You can make whatever you want in a mod, stop wondering and start experimenting!

I for one think it's an awesome idea and wish it was mine. Use the CK2 engine and make a North American map. I would use smaller forces and a smaller timespan (10 years) to match each other. Children are replaced by recrutes. There are plenty of changes you could make to create a Breaking Bad mod.

I think I would go as far as calling this the best kind of possible game for Breaking Bad. Good luck! :bbtcat:
