Worth buying?
Ive been looking at this game for a while trying to decide if I want to buy it and I look at peoples discussions and reviews and they either hate it, or love it. I really dont know if its worth it, opinions?

Well, for me it's one of the most entertaining timesinks I've ever played, the recent divide you may be seeing is mainly because of the various bugs that came with the recent patch, but paradox tends to fix these relatively quick. I would definitely recommend this game to you if this genre is appealing to you.

Wait for the summer sale and buy it then

I downloaded the demo and enjoy it so far, but skipped the tutorial and am totally lost, probably should go back to that.

Absolutely worth it. Every time I play I learn a new strategy!

One of the best value games you'll ever buy or play. Hundreds or even thousands of hours of gameplay is easy

Through a process of deduction, precise calculations and the use of a focus group of highly educated professionals for brainstorming we came to the conclusion that the "Steam Summer Sale" would most likely end up being sometime during the season known as "summer." We'll continue our research into this phenomenon since this cannot be merely coincidence.

Joking aside; yes, the game is worth it.

If you liked Total War: Rome II, and don't care much about not fighting in battle directly, then yes, it's highly recommended.

Most likely in the next 60 days. As for is it worth it yes it's worth it. And being lost is also completely normal. This game is amazingly deep.

if you were to look at the reviews, most reviewers clocked in a lot of hours.. triple digit hours. i think that speaks for itself. the learning curve is high, i spent like 5-7 hours watching tutorial videos on youtube. but heyyy, all is good! I've finally restored the Roman Empire and turned Fraticelli religion into the "true" Christianity, making Catholic a heresy. Not to mention, my brother is the Fraticelli Pope too :D

but this is pretty much the hardest strategy game I've ever played.. I've always thought I am good in such genre.. but when I started ckii, I realised how much I sucked and how shallow all other strategy games are, like civ, age of empire and total war. this game's depth is just.. mindblowing; a must play for every hardcore strategy gamer!

If you like roleplaying, grand strategy, and the medieval period, you will probably get hundreds of hours out it. It's the only Paradox strategy game that I like and has the right balance between macro and micro management. CKII is complex but not hard to learn.

The tutrial is ♥♥♥♥ according to most people. I've never used it because I watched let's plays on youtube, which is probably the best way to start learning it.

As others have said, wait for the Summer sale. Also the tutorial sucks, so I would just watch tutorials and lets plays on youtube. Arumba has a few good ones. Keep in mind the game ahs changed a bit so old tutorials may be outdated.

For historcal accuracy alone; yes.

But, buy it if you can get a discount, and get all of the DLC to go with it. You don't need the cosmetics, but the core stuff, you do... maybe throw in the Celtic portraits DLC too; the chicks are hot.
