Doubt about "View of Culture"
When I select the View of Culture on minimap, some provinces appear with dashed lines, what does this mean?

Actually, it means that the top ruler is of a different culture. This may or may not mean that it is possible for the culture to be converted.

Thanks Highly, it's a very deep game with many details, very fun but sometimes there are things that the manual does not explain, I'm glad to know that the game has a very active and friendly community!

if your nation is in the uk area and main land europe you need a demise in Uk and main land europe for your culture to spread. Culture can not cross that channel but it can if you have a demise holding in each.

what do you mean by that? im not sure if i understand you.? after all i had culture changes simply by having one of my couinties ruled by someone with a different culture.

I mean your culture isnt going to spread over the english channel. I have taken over the UK empire as Norse. My lands on the mainland are changing over to say swedish but the ones I took in the UK area have not changed one bit over 300 years. The only way to get around this is to have a demise holding in the Uk so a event pops to spread your culture there allowing your vassals there to get the events.

Theres an awesome youtube video about changing culture.
Awarding lands to people with high stewardship and certain traits can make the process go a lot quicker. (diligent, gregarious)
Traits like slothful and content can slow or halt the process.

Great nordic empire Turkrawr! hehe and it's true, I just was looking some videos (of the many I've been seeing along day) that have helped me to understand a little more the topic of culture in the game, thanks for the tips.

"Demise" means "Death", you want "Demense".
petri.piira Feb 21, 2014 @ 11:27am
He wants "demesne".
