I just played a game earlier as One half of Iceland.. About 30 mins or so into playing I ask the inn keep for another round and KABOOOM!!! A short reign for my Norse Viking..

My shortest games have always come from Iceland, if I started in the Old Gods. Usually just bad luck (I get some awful starting rolls for my frst character, a lot). And it's almost always random death, I don't think its come from any bad random events like the Inn.

One time, with a friend in MP, I modified the game to create the Old Testement Kingdoms of Judea and Isreal. We played together and formed an ahistorical alliance to fend of the muslims. The first time, we were almost immedietly swallowed up by the Muslims. I modded it again giving us lots of jewmonies, but once again we were utterly crushed. (We last for longer this time though.)

I have lost a game within the first year, part my fault for using my son-less king to lead an army, part bad luck because of a random event that killed the bother that took the throne after the king died in battle. My byzantine emperor was deposed, and all my heirs family killed, except his 8 year old son who was in prison. The former-emperor died in an event, and the kid in prison inherited. He was castrated.
