What have you done mother?
(first time really playing into a game and not getting massacred in the beginning...still learning)

So my father kicked the bucket and left me to inheret the newly formed Kingdom of Ireland. My mother is the queen of Scotland and is constantly busy quelling attempts to usurp her by her vassals. I helped my mother how however I could, but didn't want any part of the bickering that country was constantly getting into. Then my mother passed away. Now I find myself with more land than I could manage on my own and people with whom aren't very pleased with me. At the same time I'm helping out the Holy Roman Empire(read empire as they now encompass most of the continent), and I'm being told my my council that I have troops I didn't even know I owned winning a fight I didn't know I was apart of. Mother, what have you done!

Wow. I think you should give land to your heir or other family members,to lower your demense, then keep at least 1 or 2 duchies with you as family titles.

I just formed the kingdom of Sicily, I really love this game. It's got a steep learning curve but when you get the hang of it it's just plain awesomeness.

Well, manage to survive that mess. Made everyone play nice while holding onto Ireland. Lost Scotland on the death of my ruler. Two sons... One ruled Ireland, the other Scotland. The one in Scotland however wasn't well liked and was overthrown by our aunt. The aunt has me as her heir now... and she's sixty something. Will she kick the bucket already so I could reinherent Scotland(well it's actually called the Kingdom of Alba now). Oh and somehow one of the vassals of Scotland managed to succeed the throne of Sicily... so that was a part of my kingdom(now a part of Alba).

So this is my first full game through, and I'm surviving...trying to learn. I still can't seem to get ahold of anything in England... I can create the Kingdom of Wales though(again vassals managed to get there). One big thing however is the power of the Duke of Ulster. I need to take him down a few pegs. He has the northern third of Ireland, along with most of the lands in Wales as his vassals. He's starting to scare me even if he likes me.

Look in your intrigue tab a click a button near the top called start plot. From there you should see some alternate plots where you can revoke titles without an opinion malus from your other vassals. It may not be there though. Another way to bring down a vassal is a to make a title equal to his and grant it to one of his vassals

No, unfortunately none of the intrigue plots involve revoking the title. He's a Duke of five or six territories, has vassals of the rest of Wales. While I technically lord over him, and he's happy with me, he's about to die soon. I would assume... he's in his early sixties. His heir isn't too happy with me... I have to look into it again, but I believe his opinion is -30ish. So I'm worried about him inherenting Ulster and then starting a war to either become independent or try and take my crown. Oh the suspense!
