Probably been asked to Death Already
Just two simple questions can I make an Emperor(The Byzantine Empire in Particular) a General of an Army and how?

Does anyone know a good mods that allows females to be Generals. I'd like to make a Female Empress leader of an Army?

Thanks for the info, but I still don't know how to make an Emperor a General and I have more questions.

I know the Cathar and Bogomolist allow for Female Church leaders and Cathar atleast allow Female Marshals, but does that allow a Female Empress to be a General? I'd rather be Bogomolist because it's an Orthodox faith.

Do you know what the event ID for the Joan of Arc event is? Is it a character you already have, or does it just randomly generate a female character who can lead armies?

You can appoint you character as a leader of an army as you appoint anyone else. Click on the army, click on the empty portrait, then simply find your guy.

Thanks for the response and that is what I heard, but I can't seem to make it work. I have High crown authority for my Monarch just to be clear. I clicked on the army character portrait, but it didn't allow for a selection. It just went to the character profile page. Usually I find all the spots are filled. Do I have to remove the person already in charge first, and how?
@shaman hit the resign button then put in the guy or gal you want in.

All religions allow females to have church land provided in imperial laws allows women to own land. Muslims you most likly will not see this unless you mod the succession files to let women own land.

So binging relatively new to this game, where is the resign button? I'm not at home so I can't check this moment, but last night I couldn't find anything on this for the life of me. Is it in the Army tab, or the character profile tab? And thanks for the help.

Yeah, sorry, you shouldn't click on the portrait but the button above the portrait with the character's name on it. You don't need to resign the previous leader, just assign a new one.

id = SoA.5350 a new courtier with a random name appears, if your france shes nicknamed d'arc, if not "the maiden" i think. Has pretty good martial stats,
Thanks for all the advise guys. I actually found a trick using console commands to get my female leader the head of an army withou actually having to change the religion in the long run.

Just use the religion console command to change the leaders religion to Cathar and then raise levies and she should be leading, or you can change it after you raised the levies and appoint her leader. Once she's leader of the army you can use the same command to make her whatever religion she was before again, but she'll still continue to lead the army. You'll have to redo it if you lower the levies and reraise them later.
