Yes regents suck, make sure to designate a good unlanded family member regent with no claims before you die.
dynasty will still plot to lower crown authority, dynasty=claims=landed for regency decision weighting. Seriously warlord, I really like how you chime in and are really getting into helping people with things but. just a little more research first :)
I did say someone without any claims, like I said it right after family member. Family members will naturally have a better opinion of you and be less likely to depose you than a random person as long as they have no claims. You can also easily get family members without claims on your land if you are not starting as a King or Emperor. As a Zorastrian I routinely will have many family members with no claims on the Persian Empire because they are part of a branch of the family that was given land before I became Persian Emperor.
@ Rhodry - Like if you are going to bash my advice please bother to read the entirety of the short sentence that I have written. I was giving the ultimate option obviously you can't make anyone with claims a regent, hence why I said it.
