Having trouble launching a prepared invasion?

I started at 867 as King Ivar The Boneless and after winning both of my wars I can't start a Prepared Invasion against Scotland, or the two large duchies in England.

I'm really confused, while Scotland only has 9 holdings, the duchies have 10+ and I had 1000+ prestige when I was trying to do the invasion. I know it works because I was able to Invade Scotland in a previous game that didn't work out so I restarted.

Though, in that game I surrendered to the Duke of East Anglia at the start of the game because I didn't want to fight him.

- The target realm must have between 10 and 40 holdings within a de jure kingdom, while the Norse ruler must also have between 1 and 40 holdings as well as 1000 Prestige

- Only usable once per ruler's lifetime.
- Not declaring war within two years cancels the invasion

See I thought I would have already used my Invasion but I'm one playthrough I was able to launch one against the King of Scotland while I was still King Ivar the Boneless. Though in that play through I surrendered to the Duke of East Angalia so perhaps that had something to do with it.


Also does anyone know the chances of imprisoning the Duke of North Cumbria? I keep repeating the scenario trying to get a good start and my last playthrough he didn't become my prisoner.
