Much better than Episode I. Episode I was a poorly-controlling mess and the stages were mostly just a pastiche of the classic Sonic games' stages, leaving you wondering why you were playing a worse version of something you'd already played a billion times. This one presents original stages and the movement feels better (not perfect, though). The cooperative moves with Tails are kind of neat although they are a little overused (for one thing you can only really get going super-fast if you go the ball-rolling move). This isn't a timeless classic like the Genesis titles but it's frequently on sale and it's available on a bazillion platforms (I previously played it on the Wii but got this as part of a Sonic megapack deal). It's a worth, I don't know, $10 or so.
