How to fix the performance problems in fullscreen mode?

I've tried around a lot now, but I can't get this game working properly.

(Always used High quality, low doesn't improve anything)

Fullscreen - Use All VRAM - Menu: Lags, Game: 0-1 FPS
Fullscreen - Normal Use VRAM - Menu: minor lag, Game: 10 FPS
Fullscreen - Minimal VRAM - Menu: smooth, Game: 4 FPS
Zoom Mode - 8 FPS
Windowed Mode works smooth (menus, and game), but the game is so small on a 1920x1080 screen, it's not really playable.

In the old Steam forums, I've read about the problem with multiple monitors, but it happens on my notebook too, which only has one apparently. (It is set to "Use PC screen only") http://puu.sh/1ugsk (Sorry for German, but you can see that there is only one screen.)

After Recettear and Chantelise, I want to play this game so badly. >_>
Can anyone help me please?

I had this on my laptop as well, the solution was rather simple though took me ages to figure out >.< Fpor what ever reason the game dosen't like dual monitors, even if your set for only one, if it's connected to the laptop it wont work properly.

For me i simply had to close the laptop lid so it's monitor was fully off, so the only monitor was the desktop. After that it worked perfectly

Hmm, didn't work for me. Plugged in HDMI cable, closed lid, plugged in external USB keyboard and started game. Same 10 FPS as before. I guess I'll have to switch to the lowest possible screen resolution and use windowed mode for now.
