Fortune Summoners: Secret of the Elemental Stone

Any tips on how to survive with Stella?
I wonder if any of you have had the same problem but I've been grinding the part for ages in which you play with Stella for the first time. I have a good strategy on how to burn an individual monster's ♥♥♥ but when they attack you in herds it's just so darn difficult to stay alive. Especially when her regular attacks do around 10dam! She has cool MP attacks, only if she'd ever get to the point to charging one without dying first.

I've almost made it to the part where she's gonna meet up with Arche but suppose there's a boss fight waiting I'm as good as dead with no heal items left.

I'm gonna keep grinding until she levels up enough since I've got no better strategy. But let's say you're smarter than me then please, share your secret, Master...

Ah yes, this part is a tad tricky. Especially because Stella starts off at low level, and enemies get stronger very quickly.

First thing's first; did you get her the best available gear? Because that is a must. If you haven't yet, there is a dagger in one of the cabinets or something in her room, which is helpful..

One thing you might want to do is change the camera view to the one that focuses a bit ahead rather than dead center on the character so you can see enemies a bit further away. It's always useful to be able to spot one of those kangaroo things as soon as possible so you can launch a few fireballs up its ♥♥♥ and be done with it. You can also detect enemies entirely off-screen thanks to the icons which pop up, so it's possible to kill them with seeker before they are even on screen.

Her standard attacks are sort of weak compared to Archie, but they also have the advantage of longer range. Her long ranged attack (forward + attack) is actually very handy because of the fact it can potentially hit twice, or if an enemy dodges it when it goes towards them, it can still hit them when it returns. So try and get familiar with her attacks, because you will certainly need them.

Treat her just like Archie; focus on timing, learning how to make an opening in the enemy's defense, and avoiding attacks. She might have a different move set, but the overall concept is the same. Because Stella is weaker though, so you'll want to pay close attention to enemy attacks and try to keep her out of their attack range. This is pretty much impossible with yellow slimes due to their long-ranged tentacle attack, so I'd advise you to just rail them with Stella's spells from a safe distance, because they can wear you down very quickly.

Also, casting when enemies are near you is a no-no. They need to be several steps away, or at least far enough to where you are 100% sure they won't interrupt your casting. So if you have a mob on your hands, retreat a bit, then cast firewall.

Other than that, not much to say. Just play smart and defensively, and save your spells for enemies like yellow slimes who can poke you from a short distance, or for groups of enemies.

I hope at least something here is useful to you, good luck!

Thanks a lot mate! Changing the camera settings was a must and I did as you said - No short range attacks. By following your guide playing with Stella wasn't that difficult anymore. Now I can finally continue playing :-)

Cool, glad I could help!

I just got used to jumping then downward-shooting the basic magic attack. This method roughly works for both mages; stuff that tries to jump out of the way still gets hit.

This is more difficult for those kangaroo-rabbit things, but those are just general pains in the rear.

dont bother grinding, this game is skill based, practice on the mobs till you find a way to kill them and get a bag full of herbs

I'm not sure I'd ever follow Erotic Tuna (terrible name by the way). What Saabs said is pretty spot on in! I struggled a bit as well, but I found that jumping and casting Fire Wall near the edge of a platform an enemy is on works well. Since they're going to be herding to the edge to hit you when you get near them, you can slow decent near the platform and cast firewall, and it'll run up the side of the platform, hitting them. At this point in the game you SHOULD have a lot of money, so you can do this several times before needing to sleep at an inn and recover your magic. Once you get Seeker, the game becomes easy for you to level up with, since you can hit enemies off screen with it, and not have to worry about accuracy of your spell since it'll home in on targets.
Hopefully this little extra bit helps you out!

I find it frustarting with her fireball spell sometimes they WILL NOT track the enemy and just fly off the screen.

Her homing fireball spell only works for enemies that are already on-screen (or just barely off-screen), I think.

Nah even when on the screen they won't seek stella is a hit and run character so if you back off TOO much you can't land with the fireballs

+1 to changing camera view. Most monsters AI won't activate until they're near you, so you can cheap them to death using the Chaser spell. However, if mobs are near a monster with a healing spell, you'll want to quickly finish them before healing occurs.
