stupid controls
I can't believe they let you rebind all your keys apart from the ones that matter (to me), replacing the arrow keys to move your character, for the classic wasd keys.

the fact they allowed you to rebind some keys is better than nothing. but I don't know any dedicated pc gamer who uses arrows keys, only casual console morons.

You better use a gamepad with this game, playing it with kb is a sin :x

I take offense to "casual console ♥♥♥♥ers", there's nothing wrong with people who prefer consoles and gamepad controls (as long as they don't only play games like Call of Duty)

Notice how I said casual? if people want to play on consoles it's their loss. nothing wrong with controllers, planning on getting myself one for platformers etc. just saying using the arrow keys is inferior to wasd. way to try to start a confrontation for no reason though, have a cookie.

ones preferences are trivial

I didn't start a confrontation... and besides, 90% of people probably choose a controller when playing platformers. As for the game having the arrow keys binded, the actual game is older which might explain it... who knows.

The way you started your "comment" was very confrontation, I take offence blah blah blah. unreal tournament is older with rebindable movement keys, alien vs predator was made in 2000 and it has rebindable movement keys too. I don't know why they made the decision to not include the feature but its not a new concept. Fortune Summoners was released in 2009 in Japan and 2012 in the us btw.

You don't know if 90%, %60 or 100% of gamers use controllers with platformers unless you do a census with the entire pc gaming community. good luck.

At the end of the day making all keys bindable apart from the movement keys achieves nothing other than restricting game play with the keyboard for no reason.

So what are you going to use for your other keys if you're using WASD? Backslash? Apostraphe? Enter (oh god why)?
I'm not a "casual console ♥♥♥♥♥", as far as I know; looks like you know of a "dedicated pc gamer" that uses the arrow keys, and prefers them to be honest.

Also, I prefer keyboard/mouse to controllers and gamepads, looks like I'm sinning as well.

I'm pretty sure you couldn't modify the controls at all in the original release(when i played the demo forever ago at least), so it was probably coded into the game in a weird way.

Yeah, I like using the WASD keys, too. Left hand is for movement; right hand is for techniques. Fortunately, my laptop has a numpad, so I map Attack to Zero, Jump to Period, and Change Spells to NumEnter. If I couldn't remap them, I'd be playing cross-armed, lol.

I believe this game is best played with the gamepad or controller rather than keyboard.
