Fortune Summoners: Secret of the Elemental Stone

People find this game hard?
I'm certainly not trying to brag or anything, but I honestly find the game pretty easy. Combat is as simple as waiting for an enemy to leave themselves vulnerable and then locking them into a combo, it's all in the timing. Auto-Guard is pretty OP also, nerfing all damage by a ton as long as you aren't in the middle of an attack animation.

I'm Canadian, actually. My Steam name is just in Korean is all.

Ok cool. I guess you must be extremely skilled to be so effective at this game.

I found a good control helped tons. My control has a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ D-pad, and I was made to suffer for it (double-tap dash with an analog is no substitue for a good D-pad). Also, played hard only with no auto-guard. Got whipped down about 1/3rd of the way through.

You said that while 2 hours into the game? Difficulty curve.

Probably playing easy mode. Why not try lunatic mode then we talk.

Play on Expert with auto-guard off and have fun with the first boss.

Pack LOTS of herbs, because Sana tends to die halfway through the fight.

I didn't find the game too hard. The only really bothering thing is the potential perma stun and such. The last boss was a pain because of this, but it can happen for both sides so it's okay.

I don't mind hard games (I adored They Bleed Pixels), but this sounds like it might just be frustrating based on a couple reviews I read. Is there an "easy" mode that you can play? I'd like to try it but I don't want to end up with a game I don't enjoy.

From memory I think there are "easy "normal and "hard" difficulties.

Maybe, I got to Day 6 and I'm having problems with Stella, and I took 6 hours to just get to that Day on Level 7. I'm playing on Normal, maybe the game has just punished me for being a "button-masher".

I have heard that there's a "Nightmare" difficulty after you complete the game once (I normally call it Extra, because I'm a Touhou player).

Yeah, button mashing doesn't really work in this game.

The controls are garbage and feel very unresponsive, makes it a lot harder than it should be.

The hardest part is keeping Sana and Stella alive I believe... I've been trying to clear Weathervane tower today and I got to the point where I would just leave those 2 behind, buff up Arche with Sana's buffs and clear the whole floor solo... who encountered the blue harpies probably knows what I'm talking about.

And there's nothing wrong with the controls, if you're familiar with fighting games in general you should feel at home here. Turning around is a bit awkward though.
