Which class?

Hi all!
Which class would you recommend to start with?
I'm planning to start my first game on Hard difficulty.

Well, if you have played one of the two former KB, start with any class you want. If not, I suggest path of the skald .

IMO, any class is just as good. My very first game of KB was on Hard with a mage, and it went perfectly well. So, I suggest you follow your personal preferences.

I also lean towards the mage class, gotta love spells. I just fear that it might be too difficult due to the lack of bigger troops. Glad to hear that's not the case.

I love the classes that give you insane rage damage, so warrior gains rage fast and you can use your valkyries a ton. Nothing beats wiping half their force with that ice shard rage ability!

Havent really played this one much, but loved The Legend and Armored Princess, but I always did Paladin/(The Troop one)... You guys make me wanna try something else, I always use spells, but always thought Mage(Magic) one was a bad choice, time to try something new. Quick question thou, Is normal a little bit too easy on this one? I did normal on the legend but played and beat Princess on hard, Because I was finding it way to easy on normal in the beginning.

I heard it gets way too easy on normal towards the end.

Apart from boss battles, in which you look like a fool when you try to use your valkyrie amulet and the message pops up.

I would recommend Skald because as Skald you don't really depend on anything as you have your troop numbers, which are always great. And you have the starting spell heal, which is either great to heal your troops (especially high-HP ones) or to deal damage to the undead.

Second choice would be magician, as when played correctly, these mages are really hard to not win with. They just lack a good start and depend heavily on when and what scrolls they find.
