Dont buy ! QTE Galore game.
I bought it at full price expecting a good adventure instead endup being a QTE game. Avoid. Keep your money.

You should have known it was a QTE heavy game judging by trailer videos and other stuff.

He/She apparently didn't. Perhaps others don't; perhaps some of those others dislike QTEs and will either pass or purchase with more knowledge of what they're getting.

Anyone who buys the game without looking at any of the reviews that have been on the various gaming sites and is surprised about the QTEs deserves what they get. The game has been out for MONTHS - it's been well reviewed in the gaming press and it's the biggest selling Tomb Raider game EVER. It got 4 or 5 stars from most sites and is generally scored 8.5 to 9.5 out of 10.

I've played through the entire game, which was awesome btw, and while there are QTE...there isn't nearly as much as other games like Darksiders, God of War, etc. Most of my game time was spent in the shadows, sniping people with a badass bow.

Not that many QTE indeed ...

Like many have said, the game does feature QTE, but not as many as other games.

Im a huge TR fan, been playing them since the orignal in PlayStation/PC version. I played this game all the way through and it was simply the best TR to date. The orignals will hold a special place in my heart, but this newest game is on whole new level. Can't wait to play the next one.

I don't know what's the big deal about QTE's in games. It's almost gotten to the point where how if a game's somewhat linear and not fully open world it's automatically bad. I think QTE's are good for creating tension and I don't mind them as long as they are used approppriately such as not being overused and used at the right times like during a boss fight or the end of a epic action setpiece.

I am assuming he got frustrated from the one frustrating QTE in the beginning and came here to post about it. This game is awesome and the QTE is extremely minimal. Just don't get owned by that one dude trying to choke you and you are good to go.

Last 4 TR games have QTEs every now and then. You should have known that before buying. There are plenty of videos/walkthroughs/forums/reviews/etc.

QTE does not equal bad game quality or poor game design. If you don't like QTEs, that's all right, but it doesn't mean the game is not good.

If you really want to avoid "wasting your money" and aftermath buyer's remorse, next time do your homework and don't give in to impulse buying.

Bought it an hour ago, admittedly with a hefty discount - the game seems to surpass my expectations. Your 'waste of money' sentiment is somewhat misplaced, mate...

I hate QTE! It's like the developers think you are a child and thus they need to hold everything so that you can achieve it.. ack..

Definitely gotta be worth $12-$14, I bought it. Don't jump on a game as soon as it's released and don't pay full price and you'll be satisfied more often.

First, there is very little QTE in this game and most of it is done early on. Don't panic.

That said, a lot of the rage about the few QTE in this game is likely because they are horribly done. Its difficult to see what button to press and just plain awkward. The first QTE in the game involves someone trying to choke Lara to death. I failed 5-8 times in a row, having to watch the ****ing sequence over and over. That said that sequence was pretty emotionally awesome after beating it. Watching her blow that a-hole's brains out and having him twitch on the ground dying was epic after being choked to death so many times in arow. Hate QTEs so much...

Again though, don't panic, there was only like two or three QTE like this in the whole game and it vastly imroves after you pass them. I really had a blast playing it and I don't think the few QTEs in game spoil the experience.

Major overreaction. There are very few QTEs, and where they do exist they don't break the game. You might fail it once or twice, but it generally doesn't set you back at all.

indeed there are only very very few QTEs.. the game is a very very well done action/adventure and is a lot of fun.
