Thinking of switching to PS3
The camera shake / terrain shake is making me ill on the PC. I know it's going to look better on the PC but I do miss my console controller. And wouldn't mind seeing Lara on the 40 inch rather than the 20 inch.

Anyone switch to console version after playing PC version?

I play with a 360 game pad on my computer. A recent article shows that at 720P all three platforms look fairly similar.

30$ at a local Bestbuy for a wired 360 controller. ;)

if all 3 look similar, it makes more sense to enjoy it on the 40 inch TV rather than my 20 inch PC. I do appreciate the lighting efx on my 7850 HD, but nothing better than laying on the sofa and playing a good console game.

i have a xbox360 wireless controller and a HDMI cable, you are playing in keyboard and 20 inch monitor because you want so stop complaining

I hear good things about the PS3 version. Eurogamer puts it well above the 360 version

I have my PC connected to a 32" TV and play with a 360 controller. They cost about £20/$30, so it's probably a cheaper way of doing it than buying the game again for PS3, and it practically turns your PC into an uber-powered console.

my pc is connected to my living room 50" which i use to watch tv programmes or films but i just prefer gaming on my 24" monitor up at my desk to be honest.

I'd rank it PC > PS3 >> 360 only because the 360 version is a dark muddy mess compared to the others. I don't see why Motioninjoy wouldn't work for it, if it works with most games.

i have used motionjoy, just to test, emulated as 360 controller, works gorgeously. just as gorgeous as the game is. i ended up using my mouse/keyboard though for the final playthrough.

as for quality?

no way, the quality on the pc cant be matched by the consoles out right now, my friends have had it on them and after judging the picture quality and comparing it to how crisp and clear the deatils are on the pc, there is deffinately no question asked. if you want your visual fidelity to immerse you, PC is the only way to go.

also, from what ive experienced, some cards ~4 years old can still run ULTRA on texture detail on pc, tesselation did have a performance hit as well as the TressFX hair when it first launched ( for certain nvidia users do to a lack of driver updates). as for them releasing the patches in the past couple days, i will be playing through it again. its one of the most gorgeous games ive ever seen to date, and if your getting it on console to see it at a better quality than on a pc? im sorry..but that doesnt even make sense to me personally lol

even if it is on a 40'' tv, the quality wont get any better if its the same resolution/graphics settings, your only getting a more washed out/stretched out picture, with jagged edges everywhere. you'd be better off (if you absolutely must use your 40'' tv) hooking up your PC to it, assuming it has HD capability, it should have at least 1 HDMI output, and some even come with DVI outputs.

if you have any personal questions regarding the matter and not sure how to set any of it up, dont hesitate to add me and pm me, we'll sort it out. Tomb Raider is one of those newer games that, i personally feel if there is a way i can help someone get the best immersion out of it, i will do what i can to help!

a decent 400$ epson projector can produce a good 1680x1050 resolution up to 120". Its what ive been playing on with everything set to ultra. Looks amazing!

I haven't tried tomb raider on the consoles and honestly I dont think I want to. Especially when a xbox controller works just fine with the pc version.

My 32" TV is a fail :-(. Beats a 20" monitor though, seriously.
