The official forums can be found here "http://forums.eidosgames.com/forumdisplay.php?f=309" where I think you can also find patch notes.

This game is quite playable on Nvidia hardware if you simply disable a few things.

Its not "simcity" broken its 'some useless visual features don't work on all hardware' broken.

While those visuals arnt essential to play the game the main draw of owning these games on a PC is to enjoy the visual splendor that it brings, which we cant because of these issues, hopefully it wont take them much longer to to fix.

not simcity broken? i dunno but i actually can play the game for hours not crashing. TOMB RAIDER is way more "broken" than simcity

I've disabled TressFX and tess and used nvidia inspector and the game still crashes for me every 5-10 mins.So for some of us, it is pretty much sim city broken.

"'ve disabled TressFX and tess and used nvidia inspector". theoretically you shouldnt even have to think about using such things. it should just WORK.

I was crashing but the patch seems to have resolved the problem for me and improved fps by about 25% (gtx670)
Try revalidating the game.

Doesnt work for me either with my 690 still crashes every few mins even on min settings, might as well throw it out and buy it on the ps3 the way things are going :(

This made my game crash every 5 minutes ffs. I had no problems before the patch using a GTX 480 the game ran flawlessly on ulitmate settings.

Mine crashes on a GTX 670 every 5 or ten minutes...
bov_81 Mar 11, 2013 @ 1:13pm
Game crash every 10 min on GTX 680

Its ran flawlessly in 3D 720P for over 20hrs for me. Not a single crash.

It seems rather pointless to introduce extra features that don't work at launch, why not add them as a fully tested/functional bonus to a actual game play patch in the future instead having users get frustrated over them not working at launch.
