Excellent PC Game!

Let me say it. This is the way a PC game should be made.

The mouse and keyboard controls are snappy and responsive (it'll also autoswith to the gamepad if you prefer that). The graphics are outstanding. The high texture quality alone does wonders for the game. The game is extremely well-optimized. Even low fps feels smooth. I have a Radeon 6970 2gb and i5-2400. With everything maxed I can get 20 - 40fps at 1920 * 1080. I can easily boost the fps by disabling some of the many, many detailed graphics options.

As for TressFX, it works great for me. The performance hit is about 10fps for me. The hair interaction isn't perfect, but on the whole it is a great step forward, and works very well.

I can't vouch for the story yet, but I already feel immersed in the world. I'm really looking forward to playing more of this game.

I have to agree with your comments. I'm about 1 hour into the game and I am very happy and surprised at how the game is unfolding - I'm glad I purchased this one. Looks like it's gonna be a great ride all the way through.

I took a chance with this pre-order but it looks like a winner so far!

yep, totally love this game too.. I am about 3 hours or so in and not that far (lots of cautious exploration).. i feel it's like some kind of FC3/RE4 mix somehow and I like it. never really cared much for other TR games before ;) definitely immersive and hopefully it stays the same

I kinda shy away from pre-purchasing games since the Aliens game that recently came out. Most I hear are praises and it's good to know that there are games out there that still pleases people. I'm gonna get it now lol

I'm very pleasantly surprised at how good this is. Yea, the early reviews were largely very positive, but I was concerned at the "low" cost of the game and Crystal Dynamic's indie-level games they've made before. This is definitely AAA game material so far (two hours in), and already clamoring for best game I've played this year to date. Full disclosure: I never really liked the previous Tomb Raider games. I'm loving this one.

im on my 12th hour and its fantastic. everything on high at 1080p60fps with my gtx660 and it's beautiful. smooth as butter and controls perfectly with an xbox controller. hopefully with some new nvidia drivers i can bump the high to ultra and keep the 60fps. either way, im loving everything about the game.

I just finished the main storyline, and I'm glad to have given my money to Square Enix for this game. It ran well, looked amazing, had a decent story, and I enjoyed the gameplay. There are of course places where it could have been improved, but overall it was great.

Couldn't agree more. I'm happy to have supported this game. Kudos to AMD as well. I'm neither an nvidia or amd fan boy, but I'm happy AMD helped Square make this game shine on PC. More PC games like this plz!
