More Stupid QTE boss fights.
The "mini-boss" I was fighting in the middle of this video was fun to start with. Not just your normal single headshot bad guy. But what really started to annoy me was when the only way to take him down was with scripted QTEs. To make matters worse, this one required particular timing when hitting the action keys. So far, despite all of the other QTEs I've had to deal with, they have all bee fairly forgiving about the timing.

At no point (that I can recall) in the lead up to this moment, has the game explained the timing required to hit the keys in this way. I got lucky the first couple of attempts, then got worse as I was experimenting with different timings to try and get it right.

You hit the key as the rings open up. It's even explained within the upgrade menu.

There is no timing requirements for QTE's anywhere in the game. Period.

It's not a QTE but a general combat sitution that you will see more. You get the converging circles for special moves, like dodge counters or finishing moves. You have to learn to time on the converging circles and press F at the right time.
It takes some practice. In the video it looks like you (?) are hitting F too early a couple of times, then you get them right at the end of the fight.
