Is Tomb Raider 2013 another generic Action/Adventure genre?
So, im 4 hours into the game & have a few opinions about the game parameters.

Combat difficulty: Normal vs Hard parrameters
How do you know when enemies are in the area? Easy, your character automatically crouches & readies weapon. Changing combat parameters to hard should cancel this.

Show button hints: On vs Off parameters
On: Hint to interact when close to an object & what key to press.
Off: Hint to interact when close to an object.
Useless game parameter, needs to be catergorized in survival instinct. If someone needs a hint about how to interact with an object.

In my opinion, if the dev's want to cater to a wide variaty of people & not be labeled as another generic action/adventure genre, then they need to implement proper user game parameters.

Define generic. It's pretty hard to be a generic action/adventure game in a genre that isn't well represented at the moment. Just being an action/adventure game is enough to avoid being generic in some cases.

What you seem to be complaining about is a list of things that are either design oversights or basic game design, neither of which makes a game generic.

You make no mention of the action set pieces, the shooting emphasis, or the poor character design. These are all things that could be argued make the game generic.

I gotta tell you, I'm not really sympathizing with your points.
