Crashing with 680 - latest nvidia drivers - Help :) (SOLVED)
Man i had this game up and running fine when it first came out om my gtx480. I knew that i was getting a gtx680 soon, so i put the game down for a bit and waited. Now with the 680 the game crashes all the time, it cant even finish the benchmark...

I have tesselation and tressFX off - exclusive full screen on = these settings worked fine on the 480...not now...

When the game runs it runs well, there is no performance issue...but i can play for a few mins, but if i go into a menu or something it freezes, you hit escape and the game vanishes back to windows...

Are there any suggestions...?

My setup is i72600k, 8gig ddr 3, msi gtx680 TF - i dont really have any issues with any game atm except this one :)

Thanks for your time..

I also had a 480GTX when this game first came out and did not have any crashing issues (except going to "options" in the launcher which did crash). I have since also upgraded to a 680GTX after waiting to see how the Titan fared. I had major crashing issues with the last WHQL drivers but the game was dead stable with the January drivers (310.09?). This is what I ended up playing the game with (this is with Tesselation and TressFX turned on).

I have just grabbed the newest drivers (314.22), and while I have not put much time in the game, it did run the benchmark with no problems (I ran it a couple times too).
If you haven't already done so, install the new 314.22 driver if you're still on the 314.21. I have had no crashing whatsoever, and I have it on Ultra with tessallation on (TressFX at this point is too unoptimized of a gimick to warrant the drop in frame rate for some realistic physics on hair); I have also been playing for the last 3-4 hrs. I also game with the GTX 680 2gb, an i7 920 @ 3.8 Ghz, 6 gigs of 1600 mhz ram, and windows 7 64bit. If you haven't already checked, make sure your sound drivers are either up to date or you have the latest drivers from your motherboard maker if it's on board.
Ok i have made sure i am running nvidia drivers 314.22....and i updated my realtek asus onboard drivers...thanks guys....

However same thing...i am going to try the ol' delete re'nstall trick and see if that helps :)
(only other thing may be sweetFX - but i have never had an issue with it before and it was fine with the 480)

GeForce GTX 660: plus 314.22 Driver released 25 March, TR on ultimate runs at 50FPS average, minimum 39, works for me, simply allowed the driver to auto install.
All good - did a re-install, running perfect now all good :)

You just reinstalled the drivers?
Nope - unistalled the game itself - then let it download again as i slept - i also removed the sweetFX tweek :)
I've tried 'sweetfx' on a few titles and got the same results - crash. The one game it worked on did not provide (even after a bunch of adjustments) to bother with so I deleted it. Good to hear your able to enjoy the game.
Thanks guys :)
