"maybe fun for little kids" isnt this a PG18 game?! i played with keyboard with no problems what so ever. if u get stuck just use a faq lol..
You're not just fast pushing buttons, you're fighting for a weapon with someone, or shaking of someone's grip, or erratically stab someone. QTE's also make you pay attention to the game, introduce some unpredictability, and overall make the game look more cinematic.
The game looks decent enough and was fun to play. Rather short. Not the best game I've ever played but surely there are a whole bunch that are not as good. Best game ever? Hardly.
I actually don't think it was short either (haven't quite completed it, but almost at the end).
I found the QTEs and cutscenes good too - I didn't feel it was like watching a film and just pretting a button to continue - it felt real and gritty and interactive and cinematic and exciting. Really enjoying the whole thing :)
Plus its technically excellent, and running at high detail in 3D makes it a joy to behold.

BTW, for the above comments about it being terrible for keyboards, I agree. In fact, all Tomb Raider games are terrible on keyboards. They are seriously better when a controller is used as you have far more natural and direct control of her. Aiming may be negatively effected somewhat, but not to any degree that matters.
One of my major complaints is the replayabiltiy. I've put in 10 hrs into the game and completed every tomb and upgraded almost all my weapons. Since I don't really play the multiplayer of TR, I don't see any reason to go back.
But to each his own. If you feel this is the best game you've ever played, then it is ;)
Tomb Raider was one of the first 3D games that I ever played. I loved the difficulty, the sense of wonder and general awesomeness that each game was back in the day.
5 points for taking it like a man.
Try my set up though...I use Arrow keys for movement instead of the wsad keys always have... Just angle the keyboard a little to the left...
Isn't what he/she said subjective, though? What we consider to be "right" isn't really consistent amongst everyone. We all have our different idea of perfection.
