Damn...Let's hope no one buys the multiplayer DLC and they realise they'd make more money from single player DLC...on the bright side, atleast they didn't hold back already completed content just so they could sell it to us like so many other developers are doing.

Tried 2 games of multiplayer and got bored, I have way too many 3rd person games with multiplayer tacked on to give a damn about TR's.

*Sigh* F* multiplayer...

I get not being able to go crazy and add like an epilogue or something, but outfits? Additional weapons? How about wedging in a tomb or two into the environment? A mode where you can release the caged wolves unto Reyes? Anything?!

Maybe if we get organized and show them what we want....maybe they'll listen
Grimmiq 20 Μαρ, 2013 @ 7:55πμ
The best way to make them listen is to not play a sub-par multiplayer, they announced that they had 1mil+ users in the 1st 48hrs, so I'm sure they can also monitor the number of people playing per day/week/month in multiplayer..If you like the multiplayer, then it's great for you and you should play as much as you want..but if you don't, try not to be tempted to buy/play the new DLC maps out of curiosity as it will only encourage them to make more and neglect single player.

seems pretty good way to kill the multiplayer completely. it seems underpopulated from day one and further cutting it to pieces with all that mp-DLC stuff only will make it harder to find anyone to play with and having exact same set of content. as good part these DLC maps will hopefully have less hackers (for few first days).
personally, after all that EA-Activision last days micro-transaction hype i afraid Square Enix can also turn to dark side. thinking about buying those MP weapon upgrades for real money rather than salvage makes me wince.

What is this ridiculous trend that people have with DLC these days and it needing to be like some type of requirement? It's stupidly digusting, you got a complete game that you can play from start to finish and that should really be the end of it. Games don't need DLC, they never did and they still don't, total drones to marketing and gimmicks which should be included in the game to begin with.

I don't buy DLC because i see it and think "OMG I NEEZ MOAR!!!!11!!!!!!!!" It's not as the DLC as where they're going with it. They're focusing on the MP aspect rather than the SP. We know TR as a single player game, though the controls were ♥♥♥♥. I am not buying a single DLC for TR because of this. MP will last longer than warfighter, that I am certain. I don't want it to be you gotta have MP in your game to survive.

The fact that no DLC is being planned for single player shows that they gave us everything they had, they're not holding back like so many other companies are doing lately..but they are working on DLC, while it's not needed, it's appreciated and can help increase the longevity of a game.

Single player DLC in particular helps a game more than people think...adding 2-3 hours of gameplay every 4-6 months between sequals will help players stay interested, even causing them to replay the game from start to finish long after the initial content becomes stale. The more they keep their customers interested, the better their next title will sell.

This brings us to what they are doing with Tomb Raider DLC..I'd be perfectly happy with no DLC at all, but knowing that they're going to be putting hundreds/thousands of man-hours into content for a tacked on multiplayer instead of rounding out some of the short-comings of the Single Player story that brought the million+ gamers to this point is a little disheartening.

It's not "OMG we need DLC!", it's "If they make DLC, they should do it right.".

Eh, I still don't like her. Yes, she did make a turn, but only after the majority of the game had passed. Whitman would make a nice substitute though.

We should get organized! Do not underestimate the power of the consumer. Any idea how?

The best way we can organise is by not purchasing the new DLC. Although that won't work because the new core fanbase of Tomb Raider comprising of 13 year-old kids will probably drool all over the place at the very announcement of more map-packs.

Today I have been very disappointed. Looks like I'll get onto some other game soon then.
