Game Crash?
Has anyone ran across this problem, when your game randomly closes you out? You go back to load your file and noticed it never saved your progress from like an hour ago, though you saved each time you hit a campfire or checkpoint? Yeah.. I just ran into this problem now and just lost an hours worth of progress and now I have to do it all over...if anyone has ran across this problem please let me know.

As always - post your system information when you ask for help - we don't know what you're trying to run the game on and if your hardware isn't up to running the game, we're wasting time without that information.

Please provide cpu, gpu, installed ram, operating system, desktop or laptop system...

Things to do:

Validate the game files.
Turn off exclusive fullscreen.
Try running the game at a lower setting like normal or high before trying ultra or ultimate.
Re-install DirectX from the redist sub-directory under the Tomb Raider folder.
Make sure you have the latest drivers for your graphics card.
Make sure you have all of the patches & updates to the Windows OS.
Try running the game as DirectX 9 instead of DirectX 11 (has helped some people...)
Turn off any graphics utilities (like FRAPS or GeForce experience...)

Don't know much about computers but all I know is my computer is more than capable of running the game on maxed settings without any issues. I use a desktop and I don't play full screen mode, never had this problem til today.

OK - it's fine to tell us you can run the game on max settings without any issue, but it randomly closing you out sounds like an issue to me. You might be having a hardware issue since it's not saving the game or perhaps you have an overheating problem or a bad memory module.

But then maybe it's not really a problem...

Yeah, still not sure what happened so I figured it was just the game. Still weird how it didn't save when I would reach campfires or checkpoints.. guess I'll just have to do it all over.. oh well.
